Horse Correction and Retraining Plan

This situation might sound familiar.

That moment when you’re told your horse isn’t progressing, that it’s “stuck” or even “not suited” for equestrian sports and riding, and that perhaps the best thing would be to retire it.

Or perhaps, due to different experiences or learned behaviors, your horse has developed habits that hinder its participation in the sport.

And yet, deep down you know that he has a lot of life left, a lot of energy, and a lot to enjoy together, both in riding and in sport, if he receives the right approach.

At La Corona, we see these cases often. And they almost always stem from very specific causes:

– Postural imbalances that have accumulated over time.
– Emotional overload after demanding experiences or experiences poorly suited to the horse’s temperament.
– The need for individualized technical training that respects his history and his pace.

The good news is that all of this can be turned around.

Therefore, our Horse Correction and Retraining Plan is designed to help your horse regain balance, strength, ease of movement, and a calmer, more confident demeanor.

We replace your horse’s past experiences, those that led to its rejection of equestrian activities, with new patterns of acceptance and enjoyment.

Life at La Corona plays a crucial role in this. Living in a herd, interacting with other horses, and having freedom of movement make a significant difference. Added to this is the beautiful natural environment and the daily, kind, and caring treatment from the La Corona team. All of this allows the horse to undergo a genuine emotional and physical “reset” and, consequently, be much more open to new handling and training methods.

To date, the results have been clear: 100% of the horses that have participated in our program have returned to their sporting activities.

If you feel that you and your horse still have much to enjoy together, La Corona is the perfect place to fulfill your wishes. In just a few months, you and your horse will be able to enjoy equestrian sports and riding again.

Housing for growing foals

1. Horse data collection

We gather all relevant information: medical history, sporting background, previous routines, caretakers, veterinarian, farrier, and any other professionals involved. The better we know their history, the more precise the plan will be.

2. Observation and first contact

We dedicate time to observing how they move, how they respond to the environment, and what bodily or emotional patterns they exhibit. This phase helps us detect compensations, blockages, tensions, and real needs before beginning any work.

3. Plan design

With all the information, we develop a specific plan for your case: adapted physical work, corrective exercises, progressive strengthening, and guidelines for emotional balance. Everything tailored to your age, current condition, personality, and recovery goals.

4. Implementation and monitoring

We implement the plan and continuously monitor progress to adjust loads, timing, and exercises. Progress is tracked to ensure the horse advances safely, steadily, and sustainably over time.
