OUR TEAM

At La Corona Residencia Equina, we love our work, we care deeply about the health of the planet, and we are moved by animals and nature. To offer the best possible retirement for horses, we have created a wonderful equine and human community—and we want to keep growing it.

We are Paul and Sonsoles

We wake up every morning with the mission of providing horses with the retirement and wellbeing they deserve, and giving their owners peace of mind, knowing they are in good hands.

If you are looking for a place where your horse can live happily in a herd, while also receiving all the care they need, here we are.

At La Corona Residencia Equina, we allow horses to experience their ancestral way of life, in freedom and surrounded by nature.

If you already work with professionals you trust…

We are open to professionals who wish to work with us. If you already have trusted specialists, they can continue to care for your horse on our property, should you wish.

Or if you prefer to delegate your horse’s care…

As a horse retirement centre, we offer to take care of all necessary treatments so you don’t have to worry about anything.

To look after their physical and psychological wellbeing, we collaborate with leading specialists in veterinary care, dentistry, physiotherapy, osteopathy and podiatry —essential disciplines for the proper functioning of a horse retirement centre. Each professional is an expert in their field and has extensive experience in the equine world.

Maria Serrat

At La Corona Residencia Equina, we collaborate with Maria Serrat, an equine veterinarian with whom we share a way of working based on professional rigour, closeness and respect for the horse, regardless of its situation or character.

She holds a degree in Veterinary Medicine, with specialised training in equine clinical practice and surgery.

She currently works in Catalonia. We love her empathy towards horses and also towards their owners, and of course, we highly value her professionalism.

She provides us with excellent service. In addition, Maria Serrat meets a key requirement for La Corona: she is always available when we need her.

Organisations we collaborate with

At La Corona Residencia Equina, we maintain collaborations with companies and associations dedicated to the protection and understanding of horses and the ecosystems they inhabit.
