At our horse residence, different herds live together in complete harmony, interacting with one another in a dynamic yet peaceful way. This creates a wide variety of relationships, situations and experiences that positively contribute to the emotional and mental wellbeing of horses and ponies.
Horse supervision for their safety
At our Equine Residence in Catalonia, we count and check on the horses every morning and afternoon, so we know where they are at all times, whether they are comfortable and whether they need anything. Our clients have peace of mind knowing that their horses enjoy safe equine accommodation.
Healthy and balanced nutrition for your horse
During periods of the year when pastures have been depleted or are still growing, we feed our horses high-quality forage and hay, supplemented with feed when required and according to each horse’s specific nutritional needs and recommendations.
In addition to horse retirement, we offer accommodation for horses and ponies that need to rest after periods of intense physical activity or for other reasons.
These horses and ponies can also be integrated into the herds living at La Corona Residencia Equina, which are made up mainly of retired horses.
At La Corona Residencia Equina, we also offer accommodation for foals living alongside adult herds. The horses in the herd have a very positive influence on the foals’ education during their first years of growth.
The foals staying at our equine residence thrive in this environment. The extensive spaces allow them to move freely, run and play without space limitations. Their bodies can develop to their full potential, while their character is shaped by what they learn from the adult horses and by positive interaction with humans.
We interact with them every day and, before they begin training for equestrian sport, we teach them everything they need to know to accept and enjoy being handled. This is what we call “basic training”.
At La Corona Residencia Equina, we offer a horse behavioural correction and retraining programme for horses that need to correct unwanted behaviours, regain confidence or gradually return to work after a period of inactivity or after developing inappropriate habits.
Each horse follows a personalised programme adapted to its needs, temperament and physical condition. Through respectful and consistent work, we aim to improve behaviour, promote physical and emotional balance, and lay the foundations for the horse to confidently begin a new stage alongside its owner or return to its usual discipline.
At La Corona Residencia Equina, we offer a horse fitness maintenance service in Catalonia for horses that need to maintain or improve their physical condition through individualised training. This service is provided by a qualified equestrian sports technician trained in natural horsemanship, with each session adapted to the needs and abilities of each horse.
The aim is to maintain and improve muscle condition, preserve handling and riding habits, promote coordination, flexibility and a balanced attitude, and build a solid physical foundation so that the horse can return to activity in the best possible condition.
The first years of a horse’s life are fundamental to its future development and behaviour. At La Corona Residencia Equina, we offer foal training in Catalonia based on progressive, respectful learning tailored to the needs of each animal.
During foal training, we work on daily handling, acceptance of equipment, desensitisation to different stimuli and the first stages of ridden work. The aim is to develop balanced, confident and reliable horses with a solid foundation for their future in equestrian sport or leisure riding.
