Corrective Training for Sport Horses and Foal Training
We work on the training of young horses and the correction of sport horses with a technical and respectful approach. Each horse follows a training plan adapted to its character, age and experience.
Some adult horses develop behaviours that hinder sporting practice due to past experiences or learning. And young foals need a solid, respectful and well-built foundation to become future sport horses.
At La Corona Residencia Equina, we work with both cases using an individualised approach that deeply respects each horse’s character.
This service consists of technical work carried out by an equestrian sports specialist trained in natural horsemanship. The objective is to:
– correct undesired behaviours in adult horses of any discipline
– or train foals between 3 and 5 years of age (mares or geldings) with sporting potential
The entire process is adapted to the pace, sensitivity and emotional state of each horse.
What does this service include?
Individualised technical work
We carry out a prior assessment of the adult horse’s behaviour or the foal’s character. Based on this, we design a specific exercise programme aligned with their needs and your sporting objectives.
Complete work session, including:
– transfer of the horse or foal to the arena
– prior preparation
– guided work according to the established plan (groundwork or ridden work, as appropriate)
– washing if weather conditions allow
– return to the pasture to continue life within the herd
Monthly follow-up
Each horse’s progress is supervised by specialist Eva Cano, who adjusts the training plan in coordination with the responsible technician.
This follow-up ensures safe, coherent progression adapted to each stage of the horse or foal.
